Welcome!

Are you living in what Marla Scilly, aka The Fly Lady, calls CHAOS? (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome). Well then, join the club there are thousands, perhaps even millions of us!

I have struggled with organization in almost every area of my life for, well, my entire life. By starting this blog I hope to encourage others that they too can get and stay organized!

While it will probably embarrass my children for me to air the dirty laundry here, in full color photos, if it helps just one person along their own journey to getting organized and staying that way, it will have been worth it!

15 in the kitchen

My Fridays and Saturdays are filed up with getting ready for farmers market one day and going there the next. Today was about fixing chicken pens and moving more birds over from moms house. I know it doesn’t look like I did much of anything in here but it is a little better.

How do you eat an elephant. One bite at a time. I try to do at least one bite every day.  Sometimes I think this elephant is giving me indigestion.

2xs 15 in the kitchen

Ah kitchen. Still a big mess.

Two 15 minute sessions made a tiny improvement. Put away clean dishes and washed some dirty ones. Threw away some trash, cleared a little bit of a counter, collected up the returnable bottles to put in the car. Managed to cook breakfast along the way.

15 in the Fridge

The kitchen is currently a total disaster. So I did 15 minutes before I went to work this morning.

The fridge before there was some scared stuff in there.

I made it this far in15 minutes

After work I did 15 more. Good enough for now.

15 + in the Bathroom

So the bathroom needed some work. Actually spent almost 20 minutes in here and there is more to do, like clean the toilet and scrub the tub but it’s better.

I did wash the sink and the mirrors. Tub and toilet next time!

And she’s baaaack

So I’m still trying to get the chaos under control. Mom passed in Jan 2019 and I’m still moving things from her house and trying to settle the estate. On top of about 200 chickens, the market garden and a part time job. And of course this mess feels overwhelming and depressing.  So, 15 minutes in the front entry.

And afterwards.

Doesn’t look like much but at least I did something.
